Dear Cougar Families,

Ansbach Middle High School official mascot Cougars

As we continue to move through the spring semester, there is a renewed sense of energy across our school community. The warmer, sunnier days have brought with them a positive spirit that can be felt in our classrooms, hallways, and on our athletic fields.

One of the most anticipated events of the season—Prom—is just around the corner. This special evening is an opportunity for our students to celebrate friendships and milestones while creating memories that will last a lifetime. We encourage all students attending to remember that prom is a reflection of who we are as a school community. Please continue to demonstrate responsibility, respect, and pride in yourselves and in one another.

Our spring sports teams are also well underway, and it has been great to see the dedication and teamwork displayed by our student-athletes. Whether competing on the field, the track, they represent our school with enthusiasm and sportsmanship. I encourage everyone to come out and support our athletes as they continue their seasons.

While there is much to enjoy during this time of year, it is important that students remain focused on what matters most—their academic progress. Maintaining strong grades and finishing the year with effort and consistency will ensure that students are positioned for success as we move toward the end of the school year. Families can help by checking student grades on Aspen regularly and reinforcing the importance of balancing academics with extracurricular activities.

Finally, with the beautiful spring weather upon us, we encourage students to enjoy the outdoors in healthy and positive ways. This is a wonderful time of year, and with continued focus, responsibility, and school pride, we can make the most of it together.

Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support and partnership.

Respectfully,

Dave Popielski

  • 4 tardies = 2 detentions
  • 5 tardies = double detentions; parent conference
  • 6+ tardies = potential consequences include SST behavior contract, loss of privileges, additional detentions, and/or suspension

Nurse's Post

Reminder: Illness Policy & Cell Phone Expectations

For the safety and well‑being of all students, we ask that any student who begins to feel ill during the school day notify their teacher or report to the main office so they can be sent to the nurse for evaluation.  Our school nurse will assess the student and contact parents directly if a pickup is needed. Students should not call or text parents from school to request pickup.

As a reminder, all student cell phones must remain secured in lockers upon entering the building at 0800 and may be retrieved after the dismissal bell at 1500. This policy helps maintain a focused and safe learning environment throughout the day.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive school environment for all students.

Career and College Readiness:

We have four Schoolinks Schoolwide Learning events.  Schoolinks is DoDEA’s Career and College Readiness Platform. This is where students explore careers, plan courses for coming years, record accomplishments and awards, apply for college and so much more.  PARENTS have you claimed your Schoolinks account?  Our goal is 100% participation from parents.    Through your account you can view everything your students are doing in Schoolinks, including resume, favorited careers, course planning for coming years, and their post-secondary plans.  The platform also provides resources based on your student’s age and information.  If you haven’t yet claimed your account please do so ASAP.  Below is link for instructions:
