Political and International Security Seminar (POLIS)

POLIS is an interactive simulation sponsored by the German Army and Social Studies Department at Ansbach High School. This program enables participants to deal with international relationships in various fields - politics, economics, environmental protection, and security. Students are challenged to practice conflict resolution skills and public-speaking in constantly changing real-world scenarios. They experience how the nations involved are embedded in international organizations such as the European Union, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and the United Nations.
