About Our School
Mission

Vision
Excellence in Education for Every Student, Every Day, Everywhere
Ansbach American Middle/High School (AMHS) opened its doors in 1973. AMHS is a part of the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA). It is located 25 miles southwest of Nürnberg in Northern Bavaria. Our school is part of the Europe-East School District and has students in grades six through twelve. Our school year consists of two semesters, each of which is eighteen weeks in length.
AMHS and DoDEA are committed to ensuring that all school-aged children of military families are provided a world-class education that prepares them for postsecondary education and/or career success and to be leading contributors in their communities as well as in our 21st century globalized society.
